Taransay is located approximately a 15 minutes walk from Fort William town centre, along the A82 from the South . It is situated in a peaceful elevated position, and has magnificent views over Loch Linnhe, and the Ardgour Hills.
To reach Taransay from the south along the A82 turn right into Seafield Gardens shortly after the 30mph sign. Follow the road round, - a green and yellow sign on the right as you go up the hill - take sharp left at the sign, then sharp left again , Taransay is the second house. |

By Air : The nearest airport is Inverness approx. 70 miles. Car hire is available. The nearest International Airport is Glasgow which is approximately 100 miles away. Car hire is available.
By Rail : Scotrail operates a regular service runs from Glasgow Queen Street along the famous West Highland line. On arrival at Fort William you are a 30 minute walk to Taransay. There is a taxi rank at the station and the approximate cost of a taxi to Taransay is £4. A sleeper service is available from London. By Car: Fort William is well signposted with access via the A82 from the North and South. The journey from Glasgow takes two and a half hours, and from Inverness approximately one and a half hours. By Coach: There is a regular bus service from Inverness in the North, and Glasgow in the south. Visit the Citylink website for details.
