Nevis Range Gondola which serves the ski centre / snow boarding during the winter months, but is also a very popular attraction in summer. It takes the visitor 2150 feet (650m) up Aonach Mor where there are great views over Fort William and surrounding area.. Great food is served in the licensed restaurant. www.nevis-range.co.uk

Road to the Isles. A lovely day trip option is a drive along the Road to the Isles to the fishing village of Mallaig, on your way there you will pass the Silver Sands of Morar, beautiful sandy beaches, an ideal spot for a picnic lunch.
West Highland Line. The journey by train from Fort William to Mallaig is truly beautiful. The Jacobite steam train runs 6 times per week during June –September.
Glenfinnan is a lovely little place only 15 miles from Fort William ,there is a visitor centre giving you all the history of the area, and there is a fine monument to Bonnie Prince Charlie. www.visitglenfinnan.co.uk
